If you are a National Disability Card holder, and are unable to wear a face covering when it is recommended on account of your physical or mental health conditions, then you are eligible for this lanyard. If you are a National Carers Card holder unable to wear a face covering due to your caregiving responsibilities, then you are also eligible.
Our lanyards are only available to card holders. This enables us to protect the authenticity of the messages displayed and ensure that only people who are genuinely disabled can benefit from it.

While face coverings are now no longer required by law, as of March 2024 the government has stated that they have a role to play in reducing the spread of respiratory infections: “wearing a well-fitting face covering made with multiple layers or a surgical face mask” will “reduce the chance of passing on your [respiratory] infection to others” (source). Wearing a face covering does remain optional and individuals may choose whether they wish to wear one.
